Honors College Holds Graduates Seminar and Student Representatives Attend
Graduates Seminar for students who are going to graduate in 2015 was held on the morning of June 23 in Youyi campus of Northwestern Polytechnical University. The seminar was held by TAI Binglong (Vice Dean of Honors College). YANG Yong (Dean of Honors College) and WANG Haixiao (Student Counselor) took part in the seminar as well. On the seminar, they listened to the suggestions and advices from 17 graduate representatives in terms of college construction and teaching management.
The Vice Dean TAI Binglong gave a brief introduction of the issue to be discussed and encouraged attending students to express themselves freely on all the aspects related to HC's future development, such as college construction, students cultivation and daily management.
All student representatives spoke one by one providing good ideas on hot issues like HC's reform and innovation, curriculum design, elimination system and eliminates concern as well as strongly recommended to set up some compulsory courses aiming to improve students' humanistic quality and comprehensive quality. The atmosphere was lively and joyful.
By hearing the speeches from students, YANG Yong, the dean, gave fully support of students' advice and showed great willingness to adopt those ideas proposed by students to perfect the HC's cultivation program. In addition, based on the comprehensive reform processed in NPU, Dean Yang announced a series of measures to be carried on in HC alone and answered students' questions in order to reduce their doubts. Last but not least, he expressed his expectations on the graduates. Hope they could maintain their passion on acquiring knowledge, carry forward the good traditions in HC, set strict rules on themselves, work harder and make bigger progress.
This seminar widely present the care and concern to students from HC. Students who attended the seminar all addressed their future goal to learn more, research more and practice more, in order to become qualified innovative talents who can make effort to national defense construction and economic development.
